Conservation and Management of Sea Turtles in SEAFDEC Members Country
Sea Turtles are one of the important protected marine animals under the cites agreement in the Southeast Asian region. This region has been recognised one of the major landing and nesting location for sea turtles in the world. Most of the SEAFDEC (Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center)/ASEAN Member Countries have established national programmes on the conservation and management of the sea turtles. Six of seven species living sea turtles recognised in the world were confirm to nest in this region.Click here

Information Gathering for Inland Capture Fisheries in the Asean countries.
This project is under the program on the contribution of Sustainable Fisheries to food Security in the ASEAN region.The Project aims to assist the Member Countries in the implementation of the resolution and plan of action on Sustainable Fisheries for food Security for the ASEAN region adoped at the 2001 Millinium Conference on "Fish for the People". The Project is lead by Marine Fishery Resources Delvelopment and Management Department(MFRDMD) (duration 2002-2005) period. Click here
